Breed my 2  morgan mares to an andalusian. Can you imagine? now before the  folks who hate crosses they are unfamiliar with say bleh- just think- the crosses of friesian and morgan are super, morgan arab have a huge cult, saddlebred morgan are really very sporty and can jump over the moon, , and with this in mind, I have a lovely stallion I know of- home bred, and young, a palomino who does not paddle out has a very good haunche  and loin, well sprung ribs and a good chest and neck and he is a very good looking horse when he is moving at all gaits.

Now since most andalusians are lighter of bone of leg- and hoof the addition of a horse who is  sturdy and  as a general rule is less heat oriented should be very nice. My two mares are quality- and  i think they will produce a horse who will mature to 15.3 which is plenty and have a well sprung rib cage and medium bCK AND BE ABLE TO EXCEL AT THE SPRORT his owner will wish to do.

In 1990  I had a morgan gelding. By 1992 I had fallen in love with a pregnant morgan mare bred  to a huge friesian and after that I was hooked. I bred several times, different stallions to different mares until I bought my stallion ULRIK.

I bred him to morgans and andalusians, tb and warmbloods and arabs and qh, saddlebreds , and found some of the horse- the get----- were so incredible and so beyond what either breed could do themselves- that the ability to be part of this future was something I knew was for me.

So with this start of a discussion, I will be breeding my 2 friesian mares in 2010 , after they have their little friesianettes,  differently, than I have been with a new focus.

One of my mares carries the red gene- very rare, and so does my 3 yr old friesian stallion Zen so I am going to try for a red- 25% chance.

One time it has to work!

My other mare , Kali, will be bred to the same andalusian stallion, Louro of Abacus farms,  for a warlander who will positively be buckskin.

My two morgans are chestnut and bay and they will be bered to the same palomino stallion.

pictures below are some of the crosses I have been part of the breeding of  or the sale of.

The first photo is of the black Moriesian- Legendary Mars, a moriesian  who is now 17 and in Conn.

the second was my second foray at leasing the mare for the 18 months,  and finding the stallion I wanted, and this is  War of the Titans after he was sold- another friesian x morgan who sadly passed away in 2004

The third is Xanto of Abacus farms, a warlander- his sire is an andalusian and his dam is Xuxa a friesian mare who is the dam of my mare Kali.

 what do you all think?

one of these horses ( Titan) excelled in  showing  dressage, in big venues all over Ca, and was FSHR champion in all breeds for 2 yrs,

and Mars is  doing all the work of Grand prix and still barefoot and sound as ever and gorgeous, and Xanto will be 2 this summer. he is sold and heading to Legendary mars' owner , martha , in Conn. I have no doubt he will herald dressage with ease as he is by nature and his breeding built for the work and  another proving  animal that what is bred in does not have to be trained in- it is natural.

My offspring will be offered for sale. I want you all to have dreams that come true.

With hybrid vigor the genetic anomolies found in every breed should  not occur.   Our horses have been dna'd and tested for  some of the ailments that have been found in breeds like  our horses and they possess none of them.

My horses are barefoot and they have strong hooves and gorgeous gleaming coats and are so friendly-  even the  new foals.

Now to finish- I have 4 foals due from my young stallion, Zen.

The first born was a surprise , especialy since we never saw the mare, Starry Night, a 1/2 friesian sport horse do anything but bite him, lol. Well a few days ago she had her black colt, who looks like he is all friesian and he has a crescent on his forehead and a snip on his nose and is so cute and just so well put together and at 5 hrs was bucking and running and playing and coming up to every human who came to visit him.

What a perfect way to greet spring 2010.

...yes, hybrids can be very cool mixes..Just out of curiousity.
.has anyone bred (or have ) an Amer. Saddlebred mixed with Andalusian or Freisan?.Got pics?
I am familiar with Amer SB being mixed with the Arab..creates a very showy ,possibly high strung, horse ...but the Baroque horses are usually very level dispositioned. The high leg action with some Andalusian lines and the action of the Amer.SB would be interesting. Some Amer SB/Walkers aren't gaited (naturally) and might make a nice mix.

tons of them dressage horses to the 9's trust me on this- we bred at least 20 from Ulrik my first friesian and then UNO and they are all sold and all under saddle or working in driving for CDED's big time. here are a couple pis of what I bred for..............

so this is what I bred for- and every owner is thrilled- and who would not be.
