Heres a list  of things I put down in a notebook when I first got Navara, things I wanted to teach and games I wanted to play. I can happily tick many of them off now. Feel free to add your own.

Come to call

Learn to target

backwards without pressure

Yield without pressure

Lower head for halter

Ground tie

Pick up all hooves independently with just a point of a finger

Pick up all hooves from just pointing whilst remaining on one side of the horse (Labelling 1,2,3,4

Spook busting!: Stand under umbrella, be wrapped in tarpaulin, learn to investigate and embrace scary objects ofher own accord. Aiming for total bravery.

Tricks:

Bow

Jambette

Spanish walk

Yield

Half pass

Begginings of piaffe (Already the 1,2,3,4 game)

Lowe the haunches

Stand square

Park out

traditional bow

Lay down

Jump with me at liberty

pedestal

'Fast feet'

Smile

Nod (agree)

Shake head (disagree)

beauty pose

learn to neck rein and then eventually work in just a cordeo

Learn to neck lunge

Sit down

Passage

Pick it up

Drop it

Neck neck

Kneel

These were just a few that I aimed for and worked out the best ways to do things I found that rather than reading how other people had done them finding out what worked best for Navara and what she felt safe with was more important as many tried and tested ways may work for some horses, but may well confuse others. Treat each horse as an individual. Teach respect, spacial awareness and politeness beforehand and train tricks etc at liberty so the horse may tell you if he feels uncomfortable so you dont end up damaging his trust in you by opushing him out of his comfort zone

Wow, I love your photos... i dream of riding my horse like you do in the second photo...... she is really stunning... ")

I think those are all the wish list items I would have.....

So glad you liked them. i never would have believed I would be doing the things I do with her now 3 years ago. 3 years ago even sitting on her would have had me full of fear or on the floor. Its amazing what clicker/liberty/ and playtime can do for you and your relationship and how deep your bond becomes once you start communicating rather than 'telling' cannot wait to hear your updates x
