We have a strong roan influence in our herd. My Peanut is a dun roan.

This is Sierra Star, a Galiceno filly. She is just 3 years old, and her second ride. Her rider is my disabled daughter, Amber.  Sierra is 11.3 to 12 hh. While my horses are not technically ponies, they are pony sized and most commonly used as children's mounts.  This is not very common that you can put a 4 yr old child on a 3 yo (largely unbroken) horse.  I have been told many times about how gentle these horses are and this proves it.  Our horses normally range from 12hh to 14hh. We do have one that is 15 hh. They are supposed to be gaited. Everyone of these horses have payed particular attention to the children when they are around, being very careful and gentle.  Even my stud, who has an attitude problem sometimes will do a 180 in behavior around kids.

Hi Cayla, I haven't been around Mini's but do think they are adorable.Sounds like you are doing some very fun things with them. I have also been using Parelli to get a better relationship with my horse. I love doing the ground work with him and he likes connecting that way also.
If you'd like to see what kind of stuff we are doing you can see some videos of us on YouTube at CShirleyC.
Love to hear more of what you do with your horses.
Keep Horsen Around, Shirley

This is ButterCup she is a 8 months old pure paint miniature pony, shes only a couple of inches and has one blue and one brown eye. She is going to to make a great brood mare and she is Very smart, at the age of 7 months i did some parelli and some basic trick training, she is now able to lay down, rear and smile, look away and back up only with the wave of my hands she side passes on hand command, she is a very smart little girl :)
