Thanks but i can clip her mane off because im showing her so thats a HUGE no no. Have checked for lice ticks itchy bites etc etc but she dosent actually rub she pretty much just sticks her head thru the fence to get grass of just to look thru it. Even though she has plenty of good grass in her paddock. also cant braid as its against the rules. and she just has a few strands so its not rubber to the skin she just dosent have much hair will see what it looks like once its washed and i might put smething in it to make it look thicker and that might help will see.

She may have lice. Check her for that. Also, if it's dry skin and/or a fungus MTG works wonders!

well this has happened quite frequently to my friends horses. i know u may think ur little pony is adorable with his or her main but it would prevent her from rubbing and making it look bad if u just buzz cut his/her main off. it will grow back. or u can braid hos/her main to cover up the mark. it depends....how much is rubbed off?

HELP!!! I have a mini mare and i have been showing her but she keeps rubbing half her mane off i really dont know what to do and she just looks pretty silly at the moment with a few strands of hair! any ideas of what i can do? I have tried keeping a cover with a neck cover on her and slinky hoods but she still keeps doing it she just puts her head thru the fence and then it just rubs her mane so she dosent do it on purpose i guess it just happens.
I have a show in 2 weeks and i really dont know what to do with her!!!

I meant that she got rebred earlier this year and that we just got her ultrasounded a couple weeks ago. Not rebred and ultrasounded a few weeks ago lol.
It should be re worded.

I'm now up to six minis...jeeze they're addictive. I did have 7 but one found a new home:)
And my first mini I got, Pearl, she was supposed to have a foal this year but never did, we think she lost it over the winter, anyways she was rebred and ultrasounded a couple weeks ago and theres a foal!:)
I got to see its nose and eye. Its sooo cute! lol, I'm soo excited.

It's crazy how much fur my guys have right now compared o my big guys. wow!

Well, that's good, I guess. Make sure they worm her and the foal, too. There are a lot of people breeding horses (and especially minis) out there that don't know what they're doing.
