This is the 2 year old Spotted Walking Horse my daughter rescued last April.  He is just the sweetest horse.  Now 9 months later he is at full weight and simply gorgeous.  Now that he is coming 3, we have started working him gently.  He still has some stifle issues so going for long straight walks and he seems to be improving.  I think he has found his forever home as I have fallen in love.  I am the lucky one with this sweet boy <3

All my animals except my paint mare are a rescue of one type or another.  If I could afford to, I would take in more, but the cost of feed/hay limits how many animals you can keep and still do right by them.

i cried when he left, sad but very happy, the first photo was taken just about a week ago this photo was taken the day i got him. he gained so good. we used a senior feed and 24hr hay with a supplement called cool calories 100 it worked so good for him, its something you can try and it might put the weight on him. good luck

Our rescue horse is called Juke just like your old one but he is a bay and we have no idea what his history is but when we got him he wasreally skinny (could see ribs) and his feet were terrible (cracks) it is really sad :( he is now doin great and he loves having his food :) He has got his feet done and looks beautiful :) We are getting there with his weight but it might take some time.

this was my rescue duke..( looks so much like the photo of yours on here) i got him in may 2010 there is a very long story to this boy but to make it short. by his tattoo i was albe to find a past owner that he was sold out from in 2002 she had been looking for him for 8 years now. we got him back to a good travel weight and this morring he got in the transport trailer on his way back to his mom in TX. she suported him fully for the past month its sad to see him leave but great knowing hes going home..
