Newby to the Saddlebred breed here! But already in Loooove with them! Bought a Saddlebred x with a Dutch Harness Horse recently. I have just fallen in love, lots of drive, athletic yet extremly intelligent and sensible.....
Compete in combined driving myself but plan on having her broke to ride for dressage. Can't wait to see how she does

I am amazed at how sensible my new gal is!! She is crossed with Tenn/Walker. i was never a trail rider...actually too long in the arena is not a good place to be ..for the mind. Being out and about without fences, walls and such is sooo liberating. Been out now for many long hours in forests, woods, fields, roads and encountered so many "scarey" situations and such (loose horses, "attacking" dogs, low flying planes, coyotes, kids on bikes, flapping stuff etc have had no anxiety in regard to her behaviour ! She is a rock!! We are going to become such great friends. I actually feel she looks out for my well being!

Finally found a Group just for Saddlebred Owners/Lovers. So excited that I found you! Own a ASB mare from the time she was 2yrs. old until her death @ 19yrs. They are such a Proud/Beautiful Breed! She was trained as a Hunter/Jumper, 5-Gaited Horse, Pleasure, and Backyard Horse. Loved to Trail Ride! She was from the Supreme Sultan and Valley Veiw Supreme Bloodlines! Thanks!!!

Just letting everybody know that the Uxbridge "Everything Equine" expo will be here next weekend (Sat. 9th) and Saddlebreds will have a booth set up, along with a Demo of some of our saddlebreds. If anyone is in the area, then please stop by to see this wonderful breed. :D

I am an old time fan of the breed, but ride dressage. My dream is to find a SB or SBX for dressage and work it up the levels.

I own a saddlebred arabian cross, but he acts more saddlebred on most days :D hes so funny
