Thanks Michele - LOVED your note...and all that you say!!! I agree. The longer that we as a society have been disconnected to horses (industry and disconnect from nature / source along side of that) we are suffering socially and developmentally...i think as the EAP work grows...we can get back to that.  I work everyday to promote the work we do with horses = helping people live better lives...(Spring Reins of Hope).

Also I am near tears daily with regard to the genocide the USA is waging against our treasured wild mustangs...it must stop before they are all completely wiped out!  Besides...natural gas and fracking the earth for it is very dangerous in my opinion!!!

I like that you listen to your horse, I believe animals will always let us know what they are feeling, its a good feeling to share a communication with our animals, I love it>>

I love a well bred Arab> but a well balanced mix can be an amazing horse, in Temperment, Performance & Style >>

When breeders study the Natural Movement of a paticular Breed and cross it with another Breed of horse making sure they keep the horse's flowing movement the same, the results are wonderful >>

It's when people breed two Conflicting types of Horses where one Natural Movement is completely Different from the others movement>That can make for a very Choppy Uncomfortable Movement & Unhappy rider>

Breeding really small mares with huge stallions you can get horses with tiny tiny bodies and a huge draft head with a choppy short stride>

I love the breeders who get it right and the result is a smooth well balanced happy horse>>I've ridden both types of horses>>LOL>>the uncomfortable ones > only once>that was enough for me>lol>

You have beautiful horses>The time you spend with them is what makes them shine so much more>There is Nothing like the Power of a Connection between a Horse & their Rider>>unless someone has experienced it, its difficult to explain it to them>>More & more people want to experience the Calm that Horses so Freely give Us >>There should be Gov't assisted, Therapy programs Everywhere>instead of shipping Millions of Unwanted Horses to Slaughter houses>Until I got on Facebook I didn't realize just how Many are still being Slaughtered and how they are Traumatized and Tortured before they are Mercilessly Killed>>Change is too Slow at coming>> Hopefully Life will get better for All Horses>>

hug your horse's today>they are the lucky ones>>Take care>>

Dane is 11 years old, i have a had him since he was 5. Spring is best guess around 23-24 years old...he has never wanted me to know his age..."im here, isnt that enough" is his attitude...and you know what - he is right! :)

Thanks Michele!  at the time i dont seem to have any purebreds...well thats not true i do have a

TB chest mare that is part of our therapy and lifeskills work...but i really love the crosses...best of both breeds.

Spring is TB-APP and maybe some QH...his mind is amazing and i learn from him everyday!  Dane is such a star...his work ethic is better than mine and he cares so much to get everything right - we never argue and he is such a pleasure to ride...makes me think I will never be able to leave the Lip breed. They are incredible.

yes also i agree with the App / TB crossing also...have so much wisdom and sturdy survival instincts along side a little bit of fire!  He is retired from the riding arena now - mostly his work is with helping people - when we ride he lets me know if its a good day or not (he has some arthritis) and if so - i choose the path he chooses the pace...

Riding with Spring in the arena was always a battle of wills and decisions...out in XC he was soooo much fun, on trails - one of the best horses i have ever had the pleasure with...but in the ring...we argued constantly...and to be honest he usually won...even if i looked like i won, at the end of the day he would have the chuckle... after his illness and birth for both of us to a new career together it was kind of a relief to leave the arena work behind us...however if he says to ride, i am like a little kid to be on his back out in the fields...precious moments that i dont take for granted!

thanks for your comments! :)
