Nice to hear from you both :) It is a cute name for the site.
I will be updating the pictures on the web site soon, there is always a lot of change around here.
I am a member of the Sleepy Hollow Horse Club (adult pony club) here and they just posted a buch of horses needing help if anyone is looking. Email is as follows:
Horsefeathers (in Canastota where we got T and Bella) is selling everything. Richard and Sue have split up and Richard is physically unable to continue the farm. He is in a wheel chair and only has help thru Nov 18th. On the 19th all horses that are left are being sold to a dealer.
He's asking $300-350 for the following:
* Pebbles, a registered Arab mare, 18 years ,sweet, rides ,great on trails
* Bob, an aged T/b bay used to ride well ,has not been ridden in a year
* Annabel, an aged q/h REALLY sweet and gentle Quarter Horse, used to teach 3 year old children lessons
* Chuckles, aged a little sway back aged, sweet and gentle, used to teach 3 year kids lessons
* Toby, black standard bred, 5 years, NOT for Driving, great western riding, great on trails
* Jacky, 12 year-old Clydesdale mare, Black, blind in one eye, has been abused, but very sweet, not broke, but leads and ties
* Candy ,q/h pony, 5 years, green broke, would make a nice hunter jumper pony
* Morgan, 5 years old, green broke morgan x draft, needs more training, but will make a super sport horse
* Fiona, 2 year-old Appaloosa filly - LOTS of color, great blanket: red roan and white, has been well handled, leads and ties
* Sally, 4year-old Palomino paint filly, broke to ride by a child, still needs a little work, but is safe and sane, wonderful eye-catching color
All the above are sane and gentle.
The ones below are difficult to place and are at most risk:
* Faith, an aged q/h, is asthmatic sometimes, and cribs, but is a amazing second pony for a kid, has placed every time at shows
* Sweet Lips, a cruelty case, came in starved and abused, is a cryptorcid stallion, easy and GENTLE to handle, was a walking skeleton but now up to weight - Note: only $50
* Cliff, a recent cruelty case, aged q/h, SO SWEET, is still very thin, but eating great, does ride and trails - Note: only $50
* Jack, a PMU yearling was severly injured in transport, is sound and easy to handle, leads and ties, but due to hip injury it is unlikely he can be ridden - Note: only $50
Comet looks super and so glad you emailed me. I sold my farm about 6 years ago and am presently living in the same area in a house with my dog Casey, a Bearded Collie. I still have two horses. One is from the farm - a broodmare that is not just a lawn ornament as she is not sound and I am no longer breeding. The other is a riding mare. Again, thanks for emailing me and please keep sending emails if you get a chance and keep me up to date on Comet. see ya
