Hi again. She did ok once she settled down (started the first day off nervous and tense). This was her first show of the year after hardly doing anything last year, so I had a feeling she would improve as the days went on. She ended up in the mid 60's in training level. Not terrible for her first show this year. The thing I noticed after riding her is how much strength she developed over 6 weeks with the bereiter. It's amazing how much more active her trot is! I'm thrilled about that.
Thanks for checking and best of luck in Kentucky!!!
You can definitely tell how much he's developed -- a lot to be proud of! My 5 year old is showing this weekend at Dressage At Lexington in Virginia. I have her showing Friday and Saturday and then she'll appear in The Sport Horse Auction Saturday evening (with a reserve). If she doesn't sell, I'm hoping to get her back to NY so she can compete at Windy Hollow Hunt 7/22-23 in NJ and then 8/5-6 at Maplewood Warmbloods in NY. She spent the past 6 weeks in training with a bereiter who has done a wonderful job in such a small time. I was specifically looking for someone who could help develop her trot while maintaining relaxation and found someone who has done exactly that! We still have a ways to go, but the improvement is noticeable!
I had one of the girls who was raised riding Big Boy babies (jumpers) in WA visit and try her: Young hunter/jumper rider Not bad for a girl who is a jumper rider!
I'm really excited to see hear how you do in KY. GOOD LUCK!
