Hi Amy
Yes Nicci and Liza are here. She has been riding Dippy all yesterday and is riding now too. She tried to ride flash but he just takes advantage of her cause her legs aren't strong enough for the aids. He's also much faster than Dippy and wants to go. Not bolt or run away but he's one of those horses that snorts with each canter stride. He's half saddler and saddlers purr when they canter. Sounds scary to someone who is not used to it.

Hello Amy - I'm envious, at least you and your mom can ride together. I get a bit slack not having anyone who rides around here.
Flash also has that magic slow canter you were talking about, yet he still has lots of vooma and will race off at the drop of a hat. Dippy has an armchair/rocking horse canter too but that is just because she is lazy and does her best to expend the least amount of effort to do what she is asked. That's why she is so fat.
We introduced our new Great Dane puppy (got him last Saturday) to the horses yesterday - Honey Child and Flash freaked. It's a pathetic speciman Dane, as thin as a rake. 7 weeks old. He doesn't come from a fancy breeder so isn't registered. Registered Dane pups in S. Africa now cost more than a good horse!! His name is Zebadiah and he is a Merle (Blue grey with black flecks and blobs) Think he will be pretty when he has some meat on his bones. Don't have a camera but will se if I can take a pic on my mobile and send it - it might not be very good quality but will give you an idea. It has been pouring with rain for days and days. Can hardly drive out of the farm. Grandpa went to the shop with Zeb so I can't take a photo now will do it another time. Miss you guys lots
