well there are plenty of great places just outside the city of Toronto for riding, but nothing compared to Montana or Alberta.

Welcome to Barnmice! I have always wanted to visit Montana. I think of it as one of the last unspoiled places in North America (although I don't know if that is true anymore!).

Hi,Just joined the Barnmice community and thought I say a short hello.I grew up in southern Alberta and we always had horses around to ride even though we lived in a small town. My father was always taking us and the horses to the mountains either for some hunting or just a weekend of riding.I have fond memories of spending summers on my eldest sisters ranch in Montana. The Ninth New York Cavalry has been reactivated by ain the portrayal of the life of the Federal Horse Soldier. As a group, we participate in living history encampments, re-enactments, and giving informative lectures throughout the year in both Ontario and the U.S.
