- My daughter and I started our barn 7 ys ago, in the last 3 years we decided to rescue a horse from the racetrack on its way to meat, since then we took 6 here and placed another 6 in good homes, only wish I could do more,standardbreds are misunderstood, they make beautiful riding horses, we entered a few in competitions and did place very well, last one ended up as reserved champion
