Hi, wow thanks for support, what fun to receive mail from across the pond...........and what a wonderful job you have too!! Indeed our weather is pretty dreadfull most of the time and it has altered a great deal over the past two or three years for the worse! I am now beginning to get very nervous/excited/hyper active etc.,etc., re HOYS it still seems surreal to me as it has only ever been in my dreams!! thanks again for support it is much appreciated. The horse is what we call a Lightweight show cob. He is 155cms (15h.1in) they are not allowed to be over that height to do affiliated classes. He is born and bred in Ireland and came over here when he was three (now five). He went through a very naughty phase indeed and I did wonder whether it would ever come right but fingers crossed! His proper name is Corrigan but his stable name is Fergus which was his nickname in Ireland and we have since managed to call him Fungus which sounds awful but is meant as a term of endearment! My name is Joy (hence Joyous for fun) and I live in Somerset in the West Country (wet and warm!!) will keep you posted. PS My brother lives in Calgary and has done for some years now and I have an uncle in Vancouver and various cousins too! my mother was born in Toronto..............
Welcome Joyous, Best of luck at HOY and congrat's on qualifying! Let us all know how it goes!!

A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)
Outdoor mad, country loving, animal fanatic, horse adorer! Cannot imagine my life without my animals and consider it a great privilege to be able to share my life with a horse. There is something very special about friendships with animals that really doesn't translate into mere words. I work lots of hours running my own animal care/dog walking/animal sitting business and trying to find the time to spend just a bit of my life with my long suffering and immensely supportive husband!! Am currently still in dream world mode having been fortunate enough to have qualified for HOYS in the SFAS competition this year and as a "wrinkly" who has dreamt and fantasised about that not-even-vaguest-of-possibilities for around 40 years........................it feels pretty awesome! Nerves shredded but hugely exciting.
