Kristie Kendall replied to Barnmice Team's discussion How do you introduce a nervous horse to hacking?"I would just add that going only a little way the first day (even just 50 yards down a lane) and adding more time/distance as your horse is able to go out/return in a calm manner also helps to build confidence in you both.
