I have been riding since I was a child and have been in love with it ever since I started. I rode hunter/jumper at the same barn for about 13 years and finally branched out and started riding with different trainers. I'm currently taking lessons in hunters, dressage, and equitation. I absolutely love learning, and I think no rider ever knows it all. My goal is simply to be the best and most well-rounded rider that I can be, and to be able to have a harmony with any horse that I ride.
I've never had my own horse, and have done some limited showing on school horses and in college. I graduated form Rutgers University in May 2008 and currently work for Rutgers in a Cooperative Extension office. Once I get settled down a bit, I plan on buying my own horse (FINALLY!).
I currently ride about 4-5 different horses for friends and family. The horse in the profile is my mother's new horse, an 11-y/o TB named Tango. The person is not me though. =\ Soon I'll get a pic of me riding up!
Do you have any pets?
2 guinea pigs, 2 wonderful kitties Persia and Zippers
Yes, I think your weather is similar to ours...I heard the same thing...nasty winter coming....makes me shiver thinking about it....we have just finished building new barn doors and new windows to help keep the horses warmer in the winter.....I just finished sorting out the winter blankets too...it does seem to sneak up all of a sudden that's for sure....
Hey Laura...yes we live in Ontario Canada...it's damp and chilly today...it was a beautiful september but a bit of a shocker the past few days! I'm not a huge fan of the cold and snow so I'm not looking forward to winter....
