A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)
I have 10 horses here at the barn. One is a boarder and the rest of them are rescues of some sort or another. The most recent 2 were taken on when their owner couldn't afford them anymore. We teach western lessons, take on partboarders and love to think our way through horse related issues.

Thank you for reading my blogs!  I have almost 200 now.  When I started I had no idea what to write about that would not sound like constant scolding, but then I remembered when I was learning to ride and train how it would have helped me to be able to read what another horseperson went through.  Because of my MS I do everything in slow-motion, just about anybody can read about my rides and not feel inferior while I slip in the knowledge they need to ride and train more effectively.

I have several blogs in the "riding-theory" section where I write on things I've read and thought on for over 40 years.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I came across your page , and if you would like to try something different with your horse or any member of your stable I wanted to introduce myself and my hobby. My name is Gary Glaser and I am the mounted commander of the 9th New York Cavalry and live in Binbrook, Ont. I belong to a group of equine enthusiasts that enjoy living historians and American civil war, we are the 9th NY cavalry. The Ninth New York Cavalry has been reactivated by ain the portrayal of the life of the Federal Horse Soldier. As a group, we participate in living history encampments, re-enactments, and giving informative lectures throughout the year in both Ontario and the U.S. Visit use on the web atwww.9thnycavalry.com . or on Face book at www.facebook.com/pages/9th-New-York-Volunteer-Cavalry-Company-A.

I would like to forward you 2 you tube sites dealing with Civil War re enacting, , the first is well put together, and it is from this past year at a large event in Gettysburg, unfortunately none of our members were at this event, but do know a large number of the riders. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBCgFdTWLx4 The second one is a smaller event held at Upper Canada village, the 9th was the mounted cav. at this event, and this would be a typical small event .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCx3Xkn9Wuc If you have any one in your stable that would interest in becoming involved in our group , do not hesitate to contact me at sgtgaryglaser@hotmail.com . We are not a stable and are not associated with any stable. We are a not for profit group. Thank You Gary Glaser
