A Bit About Me and my Horse(s): Although always living in a city, I have enjoyed horses since I was a child. For years I owned a thoroughbred that was rescued from a failed career on the track. He learned to trust me and to take care of me, during our many solo rides through the trails and forests in and around Toronto. In the last years I have been hacking in the areas around Country Hill Farm, Stouffville (north of Toronto). I continue to love horses and the wonderful outdoor horsey adventures. For the last two years, Horse Sport has published dressage articles that I have written. One of these days, I hope to do a horse holiday, and publish an article for all to share the experience. My name is Gary Glaser and I am the mounted commander of the 9th New York Cavalry and live in Binbrook, not to far from you . I belong to a group of equine enthusiasts that enjoy living historians and American civil war, we are the 9^th NY cavalry.

The Ninth New York Cavalry has been reactivated by ain the portrayal of the life of the Federal Horse Soldier. As a group, we participate in living history encampments, re-enactments, and giving informative lectures throughout the year in both Ontario and the U.S.
