A Bit About Me and my Horse(s): www.smithrescueranch.org
Animal Rescuer, Wife, Mother, Photographer, crafter, WAHM & SAHM, living on the Eastern Plains of Colorado on our 40 acre ranch! My husband, son, daughter & I do all the work here for the critters and love all the unconditional love we get from the animals. There is no such thing as a "day off" here but it is worth it when the animals blossom and strive from the care and love they receive on a daily basis. For some it is a very slow process to learn to trust a human again and for others it happens sooner. Most every job I've ever had has involved working with or helping animals, it was only natural that I would end up having an animal rescue. With the economy the way it is I wanted to help people in our area that are struggling with caring for their animals. This way they have an option before they are forced into doing something they don't want to. It's not an easy decision to re-home an animal you love but we try to make it an easier process for them.

Do you have any pets?: Horses, Mini Horse, llamas, chickens, peacocks, turkeys, dogs, cat, birds, snake, turtle, fish, hamster, and a partridge in a pear tree! ;o)

Thanks! Duke is a 14.2hh black hackney welsh gelding. I just got him last year in August. He has improved a lot since then.
