I started riding hunter/jumper at age 8, and rode consistently doing a bit of everything (endurance riding and some dressage) for the next 14 years. After being away from horses to work on a PhD in English Literature and start a family, I found a beautiful bay 3 year old Canadian Warmblood mare with a star who needed a home. I am currently addicted to all things horses:D

We are about to start a new year, If you think your mare is ready and you want to get into re enacting now would be a good time, Let me know. We have drill set up for 2 weekends in May in the Milton area if you wanted to come out.
Why do you think she is not ready, if you want we can get together with some of our members and work with you, there is no fee's for this as we are a non profit group that enjoys riding and history and enjoys combining both. We have a lady that just joined and come spring we were going to work with her and her horse. We could include you, it is always better in cavalry to work with experienced horses and non together. The horse and rider learn from the others much easier then by themselves.
If this at all interests you email me at sgtgaryglaser@hotmail.com and we can talk. Again we are a group not a business.
Yes it is really cool, why do you think distance is an issue, I thought you were in Waterloo area, thats just an hour from my place. Our group has members from London area and a couple retired members One couple that lives in Barrie, the other Ottawa
I came across your page, and wanted to introduce myself and my hobby.
My name is Gary Glaser and I am the mounted commander of the 9th New York Cavalry and live in Binbrook, Ont. I belong to a group of equine enthusiasts that enjoy living historians and American civil war, we are the 9th NY cavalry.
As a group, we participate in living history encampments, re-enactments, and giving informative lectures throughout the year in both Ontario and the U.S.
