I am a seeker of the magic that exists when two beings connect fully in body, mind, & spirit. I primarily ride dressage and do some trail riding and cross-training. I have 2 mares: Elena de la Vega is an opinionated & talented 2004 golden bay Friesian/TB/Clydesdale whom I've had since she was a yearling. We are now working 1st/2nd level. Kaleidoscope is a sensitive 3rd level trained 1995 Holsteiner/TB chestnut with a bald face, blue eye, and belly spots.
One of the challenges I face as a rider is knowing when to ride and school dressage and when not to. I've learned to listen to my horses on this. There are days when my mares tell me in no uncertain terms that they just want to be left alone to eat their dinner. I have always wanted to make a difference in the world, to leave my mark, to make the lives of those around me better for having had me in it.
