- hi i'm maila my mother gave birth to me on a horse &cart at that time they were selling fruit &veg only means of transport so thats where my life long passion for horses started at the age of 5y i had MY own pony i left school at grade 7 to help my parents .the hawkers came together and form there own show in conjungtion with the S.P.C.A. it was held 4 times a year. at that time apartheid was its heights so we could'nt take part in the shows only for "whites" in 1994 when NELSON MANDELA became president we could show together and i was the 1st none white to win a S.A. CHAMPIONSHIP in single harness (hackneyhorse) many chapionships follow afterwards .in 2005 i change over to welshponies.and won 9 and 2 supreme S.A. CHAMPIONSHIPS in may 2010. i own 35 broodmares and 17 stalions my aim and objective now is to import welshponies from abroad
