Lucy Nixon said… - I live in Burlington, and lease a 6 stall barn on a farm in Dundas, On. I purchased Jacob from a lady I know in Ancaster. She purchased him as a 4 year old, but I don't know if he is originally from Shady Maple or not. I signed out a Wintec Wide from Bahr yesterday, but my 30" dressage girth was still too small, so I was unable to try it on him. He needs to loose quite a bit of weight, as he has not been ridden in 3 years. I may have to ride in my bareback pad until I can get some kind of shape to him. LOL! Then I'll look into the Stubben's as I am interested in fieldhunting with him.

PJ said… - Thats great! My mare is due the beginning of May to Zanaqu. The mare in this picture was her first foal (Bella), out of Firestone who is a liscenced hano. Its always exciting when choosing a stallion to compliment your mare in the hopes of getting the ideal X. I think this will be the last year for breeding (Teagan), she has had 4 foals, 2 by thoroughbreds and 2 by hanos. I have found the movement of the hano x's are far superior than those of the tb x's. Its trying to find refined hano's at a reasonable price!! Bella who is rising 5 this year will be bred to Zanaqu. I probably need my head read, with the economic times being what they are. I swear this breeding thing is a sickness!!
