Hey bloggers,

This week's blog is a continuation to last week's blog on fall and winter blankets, but now specifically addressing the indoor blankets we carry at Baker's. With the cold months approaching, indoor blankets are great for layering and keeping your horse cozy while in their stalls. For horses with thin skin like Thoroughbreds, indoor blankets prevents your horse from shivering and from catching a cold. The three blankets that will be mentioned and described are: the Rambo stable blanket, the Amigo insulator, and the Bucas celtic stable rug. All three are very popular blankets, and have attractive designs.

The Rambo stable blanket is one of the most popular indoor blankets on the market. It is a very stylish blanket that fits any horse size/type very well due to its original cut with two front surcingle closures, low bias surcingles and tail cord. It has a cotton lining for the interior, which prevents rubbing and provides ultimate comfort for your horse, and a tough polyester outer layer for durability. Check out the image of the Rambo stable blanket below.

The Amigo insulator blanket is like a cushy duvet blanket for horses. It has a high tech outer shell with Nylon lining, and comes in a navy/white design. This blanket comes in both a 150g fibre fill (which can be used all year long) and a 300g fibre fill (for the colder weather). Check out the Amigo insulator below.

Lastly, like all the other Bucas blankets, the Bucas Celtic Stable rug is a strong, durable and high quality indoor blanket.  They are made using a Polypropylene outer fabric and Bucas anti-bacterial Stay-Dry lining. "This results in blankets that can dry a wet or sweaty horse extremely fast. The blanket can be put on a wet horse the same way as a sweat rug. It will quickly dry the horse and can be left on, thus avoiding extra blanket changes and all the work that goes with it. The anti bacterial lining helps to keep the rug fresh and in good condition."
