i have been so lucky with my little hano/tb. she is 4 yrs 3 mo now, and has been such a pleasant horse to start. we can go to shows-have been to 5 different facilities-including one that was many hours away. we can also go to the forest for hacks with her mum or on her own, or even... with others-not such a good idea. i mean someone saying that they tend to let their app choose it's own pace, should have warned me- and cantering down a hill is not a good idea. lovely delph though, just kind of looks perplexed the first time she sees such actions.

she does get a fit flustered at the beach. the waves coming in are scary, and definitely the motorbikes are not to be trusted. she unfortunately did a mini bolt because of a motorbike, but soon recovered. still not what one wants with a youngster.

she has had some placings in reg dressage shows, and also finished just out of the placings at larger festivals. all in all a super start to her competition career. i still struggle with the short time she needs to warm up-after riding ottb, 's who seem to need forever to settle and concentrate.

training wise we are now working on lateral movements, bigger trots, and up hill canters. sounds familar eh. our suppleness is pretty good, a bit still on the right through the body.

i am currently working her 4-5 x a week, and try to take her out for a hack at least once in that.

i am aiming to start her at level 3 next season.
