So we put in an offer for Summer and we pretty well have it accepted. For those of you who dont know Summer, she is a 6 yr old 14.2hh Dutch WB X Paint X Welsh (Dam is Paint and Sire is Dutch X Welsh). Beautiful Little Hunter Pony. The reason we were interested in buying her is because she is a pony that we want to take on for a project. Also knowing that judges allow an extra stride for ponys, and Hunter ponies being worth more, we thought taking on a nice little horse like this one would be fun and a good experaince for me.

The funny thing is that when my coach first mesured her, she told us that she was 14.1. Her being 6 yrs old, we were like "HOPEFULLY NOT going to grow anymore" (lol!). Now that we were close to buying her, we wanted her measured again (for peace of mind). She came back telling us that she is now 14.2 1/2hh!!!!!!!!! BUT she has 2 front shoes on. So now were getting the ferrier out to trim and the vet out to mesure her at 14.2hh and give us a "Pony card" to prove that she in fact, a pony. (Been a little stressfull week..lol) But now knowing that she is 14.2, my coach assured me that it is VERY unlikley that Summer will grow anymore.
