We had a great show on the weekend of March 13-15 in Del Mar at the Dressage Affaire. We started off on Friday with the Junior Team Test. We had practiced hard for the last two weeks after the last show and I hoped all the hard work would pay off. Chance is only seven and is still green with the changes but he went out there and tried his best. This was only our second qualifier and our first CDI ever so I was amazed when they anounced that our score was a 64.054%! With a judging panel consisting of Bo Jena, Lilo Fore, Jean MacDonald, Jacques van Deale, and Gabriel Armando, I was so happy we were able to pull it off. Better yet, we won the class by a full 4%!!! The next day went just as well and we stayed consistent with a 64.053% and yet another win! It was a fantastic weekend. The next show is in two and a half weeks and we'll be performing our freestyle for the first time. Wish us luck!!!

Thanks! I'll definately have to check that out.
I'm going for a 60's theme for my freestyle. I'm doing 'Do You Believe in Magic' for the trot, 'You Can't Hurry Love' for the canter, and 'You've Made Me So Very Happy' for the walk.

Congratulations Catherine! What a great job and an incredible score!! Did you see that one of the other members from New Zealand has just posted a blog that she is going her first CDI in Australia in May. Maybe you could give her tips!! :)
