Nothing like the horses...

So, we clipped, full body clip, mind you, the big old girl.  She's 16.2hh of half clyde, so this was rather a large job.  She's 24, and we have blood work being done for Cushings.  She looks 5 years younger and shiny as the baby.  She was a bit resistant on Friday, so I had the brain fart to change her bit.  She's had the same bit for the last decade, so it might be time.  Specifically, as horses age, their incisors tend to slant more forward, which decreases the size available in the mouth.  So, nice skinny snaffle for her.  She was fantastic today.  Mom had a fabulous ride, even had her coming round.  A most excellent weekend.

So, a tired Momma went to ride Maggie.  Back in full work after her 'whatever the hell she did to herself' that got her out of the show.  She was awesome!!  Not even ONE fling of the head up in the left canter.  AND a lovely saunter through the berry field to cool off.  Mash for Mags, she loves mash day.

On to the little man.  Now he can put a smile on your face no matter how tired you are!  Trotted away from his herd to see his Mom!!!  He loves mash day too.

I guess this is as good a start as I'm going to get to quarter end!  And little Havoc turns ONE on Wednesday.  Grandma sent a birthday apple for him...a gala, they are his favourite...  Anyone get the impression my kids are spoilt?
