Daily Oats: Food for the horse lover's soul

This is a collection of quotes that I have used on the Knot-A-Tail Facebook page. Most of them are mine, but a few others have joined the herd as well. I hope you enjoy them.

Within the warmth of my horse's breath, I will find the air that I need to live today, I will find the wind to fly to the heights of my dreams, I will find the one I am meant to be.

As I gather my horse's mane and get ready to ride, we become one. It is only within that power and love beneath me, that I dream my greatest dreams.

There is nothing that makes its' way more directly into my soul than beauty of a horse and the love from their heart.

I am thankful for this day of life, for eyes to see the sky, for ears to hear the birds, for feet to walk amidst the trees, for hands to pick the flowers from the earth, for a sense of smell to breathe in the sweet perfumes of nature to appreciate the magic of everyday miracles within the love of all my four legged friends.

Horseman don't ever buy a horse expecting it to be your last one.

Do you ever wonder, when you are out by the barn, how such a little bird can make such a beautiful song, like it they were singing just in the joy of seeing you? Whenever, I am around my horses, I feel like a tiny bird with a big song with the love from such a pure heart.

Who ever said "I would not know what to do with a million dollars" never owned a horse.

Hold on to what is good, even if it's a handful of earth. Hold on to what you believe, even if it's a tree that stands by itself. Hold on to what you must do, even if it's along way from here. Hold on to your faith, even if it's easier to let go and above all else hug the heck our of your horse.

Surgeons General Warning: Horses are expensive, addictive, and may impair the ability to use common sense.

Use what talent you possess: the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best. When I head for the barn in the morning, I always feel like a tiny bird with a BIG song in my heart. I also pretend the world will hear me with smiles, love and laughter.

Dear Lord, may I never be too old to stop smiling when I hear a whiny, my foot in the stirrup, the warmth of my saddle, the feel of the reins in my hands and my head laying against the warmth of my horses' heart.

It only takes one idea, one second in time, one friend, one dream, one leap of faith, one kind thought to a friend, or even perhaps only one more ride to take you to all your dreams and change everything, forever.

I am a Cowgirl, and I can fly without wings. I just climb on my favorite stead, and close my eyes. I know he will take me to places I have never been. I may not have been to Congress or to World but I know that, it is within my horse's heart guided by the eyes of the lord that this is greatest love there has ever been.

"Cowgirl up" is an expression that means to rise to the occasion, not to give up, and to do it all without whining or complaining. It is easy to say Cowgirl-up, it is the champions of their horse's heart that live up to it. A cowgirl is the champion of her life.

Being A horse-A-holic might be the only time that it is perfect to be in the middle of a life long addiction.

Dear Lord, How can I every thank you for lending me the love of a horse that brings such happiness, and lite to my very soul for within their love, you have created my own heart.

Remember, a Cowgirl's heart always has a heart full of hope and a life full of laughter.
Be the whinny Just because it feels so damn good!
