New motivation and a nice horse

Sorry about my lack of blogging lately, but I have been very busy with all kinds of stuff.
I've been feeling very bad since I haven't got all the time for her as I wanted, but I don't think she mind. She's started to stay out all night as well now, so she's just happily grazing with her four other horse friends. Not concerning about if I come or not.

Well, I've felt bad about her for some days now, so I finally kicked my behind into gear and went to the stable (or meadow, as she's not in the stable at night).
Since I didn't have someone to ride with us, I figured why not just lead her on the tour fully tacked up, so I could hike with her up the hilly side on the way home.

As you can see, she carries my helmet on the one side of her saddle. She's so cute, I totally love her <3

Well, we got on our way. As usual, she started to look back, and not wanting to follow me. I just walked and she came, but still tried to drag me back. She looked at the cars and tried to pull me in another direction, but I just told her to follow me and she did.

There was also a man roller skiing from behind, and she got a little stressed. I don't blame her. They come really fast, and usually make almost no sound before they're there.

After walking on the little road made for walking and bike cycling, we went into one pathway with a little river beside it. She was a total nut head, but we managed okay. I tried not to stress her more so I just stayed calm and walked in a normal tempo.

After a while, we came to this place where the little river became a bigger waterfall. She's usually really afraid at this place, but today she just looked at it with huge eyes and followed me.
After the waterfall place, there was a new and much smaller pathway into the forest, and she really stressed down, and we started to talk about how nice she was and all that kind of stuff.

The smaller pathway isn't that long, so when we came to the end of it, we met the "evil death-bridge". That's what she thinks of it. I must admit I was kind of not liking it myself the first two times I saw it (note that I wrote saw it, because the first time I couldn't get her over, so it was just the sight of it).
I haven't tried to get her over riding her whiteout another horse going first yet, but she follows nicely when I lead her over. We also stand in the middle of the bridge, looking and cuddling some seconds every time we're there. She's always nice but a little afraid then. But what I really like with her is the fact that she trust me, and let me do that stuff with her.

As you can see, the bridge is quite narrow and there is a long way down for the water. This was on the other side of it. I told her to wait, because we needed a picture of it. LOL

Then there was a huge pathway leading us to another bridge. But this bridge is huge, and made for occasional driving on it (for the people that keeps it clean and in shape).
She doesn't feel like she has to run home on this bridge, so we just walked on it and stood there for a while. I dropped horse sweets on the ground for her, and she was happy eating it.

Right after this last bridge, I found a huge stone to stand on, and I got on her.
She was happy about that I guess. I think she find it boring to walk slow beside me, because she is always in such a hurry when I ride her. Specially alone.
She was a little spooky on her way home, but I was still able to ride her with long reins. I have this thing I do when she's starting to stress up: I just pretend to be dead while riding. lol, I know it sounds silly, but that really helps us to stay calm. Even with long reins.

This picture is taken right before we got home again. You can see the big barn that is the stable in the background.

All finished with the hack, she got her food and lots of carrots. She ate with a huge appetite, and that really makes me happy since she's a little thin.

I let her out to her horse buds again, and she was happy, started to graze :)

Motivation

When I got home, I got this e-mail telling me I was signed up for a one day class with an academic riding teacher May 30.!
I am so happy about this, and looking so much forward to it. This will be my first course with Pernille (horse), and we have lots to learn.
I am also having one of my friends with me that day, so I will be able to have some pictures from it as well!

Happy happy happy!

That clinic sounds like it will be a great day out for you and Pernille. I think you'll get loads from it. You'll have to let me know how it goes....I'll speak to you later any how lol.
