To celebrate the launch of our book at the end of July, Sarah Braithwaite and I are riding from North Wales to Exmoor (from her place to mine!) in the last 2 weeks of July.

There is more info about the route, and the horses we will be taking, at www.ridebare.com

2 riders, 2 horses, 260 miles, no shoes :-) If anyone wants to ride with us en route (shod or barefoot) they will be very welcome :-)

Thanks Fiona! We've been competing and hunting ours on very tough surfaces for years now - although its not an easy option its very satisfying. Nic

Hi Nic. This looks great! I live in North Wales and also have a barefoot horse, but have never come across Sarah. My person who trims my horse comes all the way from Ceredigion. Unfortunately I am not able to ride my horse at the moment (nothing to do with his feet, which are fantastic) - otherwise I'd be sorely tempted to join you - but good luck with it and I hope it proves to all the nay-sayers that you don't just have to ride occasionally on soft surfaces to keep a horse without shoes!
