Hi guys,

Hope everyone has been soaking up lots of sun during their rides this week. To all the riders preparing for Will O Wind Horse Trials this weekend, best of luck! Reminding everyone that the Peter Menet clinic is this Sunday, July 15th; going to be very educational and fun, you won't want to miss it!

This week's blog is going to be focused on ways to improve rider position from having the proper tack fitted to both you and your horse. At Baker's, we have extensive knowledge is saddle fitting and making sure both you and your horse are comfortable and safe in order to perform at your best. Carmen is your go-to-guy for saddle related questions and inquiries. Baker's carries a wide selection of saddles, and guarantees to find one that fits you and your horse flawlessly. If you check out our website at http://www.bakerssaddlery.com/ you can check out our selection of new and used saddles. Properly fitting your saddle to your horse is very important, but it is equally important to make sure you as the rider fits the saddle as well. Proper saddle fitting enables the rider to feel balanced and secure to ensure safety and comfort. A great addition to your saddle, particularly show jumping and x-country saddles are the MDC stirrup irons. They come in a variety of styles but its main function is you can rotate the stirrup to a preferred angle. This allows the rider to get their heels down easier, and helps place the rider's leg/ankle in the right position. Many eventers are purchasing these stirrups because they have found a great difference in their overall position, benefiting them on their jumping phases. Safety is the number one priority, and properly fitted tack is vital to ensuring safety. When you feel safe on top of your horse, you perform better, you have more fun, and makes you excited to ride the next day. If you have anymore questions please feel free to comment below.
