Well, we had our first Gold show on the weekend since the grand revelation that *I* was causing the bucking and squealing of dear little Muffin. Shockingly enough, she didn't put a foot wrong. Mom didn't get so tense, so there was no good reason for silliness, and lord knows she requires a good reason, honest little girl that she is! Well, mostly.

Friday we had a lesson in the morning and she was one cranky pony. She kicked up when we went to canter, after she thought she was done... well, that was NOT appropriate, so she got galloped around and had to WORK. That made an impression. She was pretty contrite Friday when we went for a walk on the show grounds.

She is a most excellent show horse. A bunch of other horses were banging and carrying on, never little Maggie. If she could, she'd have told them to shut up so she could get some darned sleep over here! She does love her sleep. She talks to Mom incessantly, nicker nicker nicker... how can you not love that?!

Well, schooling show again on Sunday, we'll see how that goes...
