Cancer June 21 - July 20

I believe this year will be a hot one for you.
You will be moving so fast, it will be impossible to
stay in touch. Keep up the good work. You are giving your horse
a lot of attention and affection. He needs both at the moment as
he is just coming out of a serious training period.
Leaving the past behind may be good for you, who really knows?
It will depend on your attitude really.
I am feeling that the changes which are coming, will be good
in more ways than one. Give and you will not regret it, so if there
are some things lying around, donate them to a horse rescue. They
will be appreciated.

Leo July 21 - August 21

It is quite alright to take stock of your situation and make the necessary adjustments needed.
Think of your saddle. How often have you made adjustments so
that it fits your horse? You will be in an especially jovial mood
for most of the month because you are really putting in an effort to
move yourself and your horse to the next level of showmanship.
Go for it, think positively.

Virgo August 22 - September 22

The health situation which has been plaguing your horse will be under
control soon. It has been a long haul, but happily all is well. You will need
to be a bit cautious while riding, pay attention to his movements. You have done
a fantastic job and should be proud of yourself. Take some
lessons to show you different ways of having a more pleasant ride with
your horse. Take care of his teeth.

Libra September 23 - October 22

Taking a breather before moving onto showing again. The going has been good
for both you and your horse. Be sure to check his teeth... they may need
to be floated. You never know when you buy a horse, if that job has been
overlooked or not. He will be doing a lot of work and does not need to be
throwing his neck around. Be sure to clean your tack too,
to avoid them getting dried out and or mouldy. Ride on, and have fun.

Scorpio October 23 - November 22

You would be wise to look into your horse's health this month, even though
it appears as if all is okay. Underlying issues will surface this month making
it impossible for your horse to walk properly. Having said that, if you
have checked all possibilities and taken the necessary precautions, then
I would say forge ahead and enjoy the ride. Relax and remember to enjoy yourself.

Sagittarius November 23 - December 20

Not a month to be careless. Take everything into consideration and try
not to stress yourself unduly. Remember, if your horse has been out
walking around all day he will most likely be in better shape than you, if you
have been sitting at your desk. So start off slowly. Riding with a companion will prove to
be fun, and you will actually like it. A great summer is ahead.

Capricorn December 21 to January 19

A great month for fun, jumping around and generally having a good time
with your horse. Some conformation issues will arise, the problem seems
to be in his shoulder. Give him some time off, sometimes a day or two makes
a world of difference. Have you checked his frog to see if he has a stone
caught in there? Helping to pick out stones is not always a good job, but it
does prevent the horse suffering pain, just in case one has become lodged in
his frog.

Aquarius January 20 - February 18

Success is within your reach, you will have to want to be someone to
be reckoned with at shows. Your horse is feeling the need to make his
mark as well. He is quite the horse. Spending some alone time with
him, riding him and getting to know him will be good for both of you.
That way you will instantly know if something is affecting his performance.
Swimming with him will give him the confidence he needs at this time
in his life.

Pisces February 19 - March 20

Daring projects are in the making now. Try not to overdo everything and rest
when you feel the need. Your horse appears to be on the mend and
both of you will benefit from being out in the open fields, lapping up the
sunshine. His saddle needs a bit of adjusting, maybe his shape has
changed. If he is uncomfortable under saddle then you will not have
a good ride. A new saddle pad may help.

Aries March 21 - April 20

Making changes this month will enable your horse to get into
the new programe without any special effort. He is enjoying
the weather and it does not appear as if it is too hot for him, even
though he is moving a bit sluggishly. Check his hooves often
to make sure there are no lodged stones. Moving from one barn
to another did not affect him negatively.

Taurus April 21 - May 20

Your horse needs your attention, and if you can become involved
with the other horses at the barn, you will learn quite a lot about these gentle
creatures. Volunteering your time at a rescue organization seems
to be something you will find interest in doing in the coming weeks.
Paying for a couple of lessons for a family member will be something
they will remember for the rest of their life.

Gemini May 21 - June 20

Well you took the plunge, and bought the horse of your dreams.
Remember he is a rescue, and you will need to be very
cautious until you earn his trust. Take it easy, small steps at first
work out quite well in the long run.
Good luck, sometimes everything does not work out the way
we envisioned, this is just how it is. So sit up and enjoy the ride.
Lots of fun trips are on the horizon, be grateful for small steps at this time.
