Yes, he was being a complete turd really, it was windy (blowing sand in his face) for the dressage, so a bit benefit of the doubt, but the SJ, I may as well have just let him into the ring without me, for all that he was listening. He was watching the XC I reckon!
Good luck for the next one, let me know how the Orange monster goes :D
Geoff! How's it going? I take it from that lovely pic of Nick that Lochie is back to a normal, non psycho child eating pony? Heehee
How did the RAS go? Was Itchy a gooood boy? I tell you what, better watch out when I'm over next - spent the weekend at at Yarrambat Horse Trials - Dressage and SJ were both write offs - couldn't believe his behaviour, norty boy, he was a brat! But he made up for the lot with an absolutely cracking XC, taking jumps out of a gallop stride, listening to the 'balance, come back'....amazing. Didn't even hesitate at his bogey fence - the ditch, went straight over. Will have to buy a couple of the pics and put them up.
How's the rest of the gang?
Hey Geoffrey!
Have you read William Micklem's blog?! You are now officially famous and crowned the King of Barnmice Communication!
I think I'm gonna be careful what I put on the discussions from now on - I don't fancy my words coming back to bite me on the bum in someone else's blog!
:-)

Thanks, the reason me and Kohrn work so well together is because shortly after he was weaned he put a hole in his throat and I spend hours upon hours in his stall feeding him and talking to him and being there to show him everything was going to be okay. And after he got better I started working with him a little everyday and when I started dating my boyfriend he gave him to me for my birthday. So since then I have been working him everyday. Me and Kohrn have a special bond that no one can take away from us and I am hoping that it will come in handy when I start more advance work with him later on.
Well I am up on his back just walking him right now. I am hopin by next summer I will be able to show him in walk trot. And his ground work is gettin better all the time. Everytime I work him, he does everything better and better.... but I think I am pushing him a little fast right now by being on his back walking around... but my boyfriends mom said to just walk him and by this winter or spring I should be trotting him around by myself..... If not soon.
Hi Geoffrey, although originally from England, I now live in Wales. In beautiful Anglesey, actually - not sure if you know it, it's an island off the coast of North Wales, joined to the mainland by two bridges, but still an island. It has beautiful beaches and is very rural. We live in the most Northerly village in Wales and it's also about as far West as you can go without being in Ireland! In fact Dublin is our closest city, except that 60 miles of water is in the way. :-)
Yeah, it's pretty hilarious as people struggle with the language barrier! Who says we all speak English? I am planning to learn Welsh this year ... that will be fun! :-)
I know i cant jump him right now but i was just trying to get a jump start on jumping. But it would be okay to start him on ground poles and then just wait til he is four to jump him.. But thanls so much for the advice.
Balak was good, but yesterday got a really sore throat - so have worked from home today. How did the section 4's go?

OOOPS, sorry, it's really late, after work and beyond bedtime. I clicked the wrong United, it's UK not UAE, I never go anywhere so I have only seen photo's from UAE. Liked your pictures Geoffrey, dare not spend money on funding flickr photo hosting for the moment, more spices for horses and me required, turmeric and cinnamon, so I shall read this site for now and participate more when I get my pictures working again.
Thanks for saying Hi. It was a note on www.artofnaturaldressage.com that pointed out this forum as a place of interest. Love Susie xx

Yay Alyssa is going! I'm pretty sure Andrea is too, will we sleep at the farm or at the house? Cos i'm sure my 2 best mates ( Alyssa and Andrea ) are staying too. Well i know Alyssa is going, and i'm sure Renee said that she'll take Andrea down and Andrea will sleep as well. I know it's probaly going to be in late. I will check. (:
Anyone have advice on how to start a young horse to jump and someone who has never jumped in their life? My horse is only 1 1/2 years old and i am only 18.
