Hi Barbara, Thank you for your kind words about Sadie and Lucy, they are sadly missed. Thank you also for the feed back about the website, it is nice to know we are hitting the mark there. I did write to Maureen about the search for a pony, and offered some advice. It sounds like she has her head screwed on ,and is looking in the right places. Cheers for now Geoffrey
What a beautiful area! I have lived in Florida all my life so I don't know about the environment in Co. When I retire I'd like to load up my horse and travel around to see everywhere. Lovely, Lovely horses.
Thanks for the welcome message!!!! milking goats?? i really cant stand goats milk!, i reckon it tastes like the smell of goats urine! he he! thankyou again...i love coloured horses by the way! x
You bet you've lots of time. That's the most wonderful thing about horses. You are never too old! As long as you're able to get on and off you can ride, and when you can't do that anymore, you can hitch up a cart and drive. I am five years your senior and I'm still learning something new each time I ride.
Can you tell this is my passion? I feel so blessed that I have been given this gift in my life. When I'm with my horse, all the rest of the world magically disappears and it's just my horse and me in the moment. I guess there are other sports where this is so, but to be a part of another living thing is truly special. That's why I want my Emma to have this in her life too.
As for your equine search, I believe that horses will find us, so I'm sure that your horse is looking for you too.
I have a story to tell of how I found my big red guy that I'll tell when I've got more time.
Enjoy your day.

Hello Barby,
I can't thank you enough for your advice. A little correction. Emma is not my daughter. She is my granddaughter. She is is sweetest little girl who loves horses. In fact all that she plays with are her Breyer horses and barn. I started her riding last year and she's been hooked ever since. I have my own horse at a really friendly barn where my new pony would be welcome have a wonderful happy life...if I can only find the right pony.
I will follow your kind advice and go to the forums and see what happen.
Talk to you soon.

Hello Barby,
Thank you for the welcome. I'm new to the site so I'm still trying to find my way around.
Do you know if there is a place where I can place a want ad? I'm looking for a very safe pony for a 5 year old. One on which she can begin her riding lessons and that is reasonably priced. Age doesn't matter but must be healthy.
Thanks for any help.
Hey Barby
Writing something others would want to read is not all that hard. There are many many topics some for very beginners and others for more advanced people not to mention the different disciplines. Horse shopping is a HUGE topic with so many things everyone needs to think about while shopping for a new horse.. not to mention selling one.
No I am not currently in the market to buy one right now. I'm selling my house and really downsizing, becoming more mobile. I want to eventually do the "snowbird" thing. I keep my fingers in the horse market because of my biz and my love for them. How about you..what type of riding do you do and what kind of horse are you looking for?
