Hi Andrea
Thanks for the welcome.
How are you doing?
Yes I am the Leslie that worked at Belinda's barn a few years ago, while Belinda was pregnant.
I work for Eventers Robin and Melanie. Robin's farm is Archer's Grove in Uxbridge. I'm mostly barn staff. When I have a weekend off from DJing I try to get to the shows to help out.
Yes I'm still a DJ and doing well with it.
No we aren't a competitive drill team. We just put on shows for people and ride to have fun! :)
Western riding is a lot of fun, very relaxed compared to english. I just switched over to western and I really enjoy both disciplines.
I used to love dressage, and did well in low level dressage..
Its so cool that you were on the Canadian Dressage Young Rider Team!
We were both a little nervous but I am so proud of him. I could tell that he was really trying to be a good boy. Thank you so much for your support...it means a lot. I think Justin's braiding made him feel very special!
Andrea - thanks so much for the hearty welcome and the interest on the Costa Rica trip - it's one of my all time favorites - where else can you gallop down the beach in a bathing suit for miles?
I've enjoyed (very much) your photos and learning about you - you are quite talented!
By the way, just a side note - if you know anyone that is interested in attending WEG 2010 in Kentucky, my company is also selling "A" level tickets and hotel packages. We have excellent seats and great hotels and we are really excited. These are on sale now. Thanks!
Sorry if it's a bit out of time, but haven't logged on for several months as I have been pretty busy at college. Thank for the comment, it's very apreciating when someone else likes what you do...the horse is a french gelding, former show jumper that I took when he was 15 years old or so....he couldn't do anything and won't go forward...now with 19 years old he is trained up to 3rd level....he couldn't do more, too old and lazy....but I trained him myself, and he trained me, which makes me feel proud...apart from here in spain, I have also trained in the states in a farm as a working students 2 years ago, it's was pretty nice, althought the owner/riders of the farm weren't that nice at all...
Well, gotta say you also have nice pictures and guess a horse better trained than mine...hahaha
Right now we are working on getting him to relax ....... He is proving to be a lot of horse for me!! But that won't deter me.. A lot of people have told me to sell, but I just can't seem to find it in my heart to do it.. I am very nervous since my fall a year and a half ago, and tend to become tense once in the saddle, which in turn he picks up on, and he starts to do piaffe on the spot!!
