Thanks for introducing me to barnmice....I will probably have to fumble around here for a bit before I truely get use to it. Also, hopefully it didn't rain much today at the barn. We were pretty lucky in Truro. Anyhow I will see you tomorrow.
Ya shes mine, she is a 18 (turning 19 in April) year old thoroughbred that I just got last summer, shes very sweet, but needed some work when I got her, she was never really properly trained, but she is very smart and learnes quickly!
Oh, that's neat....as I was writing my comment, switched me over to your site....cool. Anyway I see on your friend list Debbie's pic (the avatar), what a cute baby!! You KNOW how I love the babies!!! Ahhhhhhhh.......
Hey Jackie....How's things? Thanks for the comment on Houston's pic....that has got to be my all time favorite one! Finally got the ones back from the Royal of Lacey, uploaded a couple. A little disappointed that she printed them in glossy form but, what can you do. We have sunshine here today...looks like a beauty day! Take care....have a good ride for me..ok??
Hi Jackie,
I'm not sure how to use the site, but joined because of you. Tomorrow
we get high speed; then I'll be able to do so much more. I am going to
get a camera, and then I'll send you pictures. She's starting to look
really good; I may try and go to St, Louis in Feb., if I think she's ready.
Hey Jackie! Thanks for the welcome and the invite to the site! Sitting here working on blankets, so thought I would take the opportunity to get on computer as well and try to send some pics of the kids to you. Finally got my pics back from Lacey's win at The Royal, not sure how I like them, but oh well.
Sorry you are getting all that snow, but thought I would send you some, just in case you were missing it. It was great talking to you the other day. Hope you had a great New Year! Talk to you soon!
Sounds like you and Scout have it made. Scout has the right amount of play and patience to teach any colt how to have a few manners.
I'm running Lynden Manor Clydes in Carlisle (Glen Smith's Clydesdale and Standardbred operation) - Jane sent me out. I manage 160 acre farm, plus run the Standardbred breeding operation, track layups and the Clydesdale hitch horses and breeding stock. Glen recently added a Percheron mare to the menagerie as well.
His wife, Caroline Armstrong (yes Armbro Farms fame), keeps her retired Hackney Ponies, Hackney Horses and some of the riding ponies there as well.
Enough to keep me employed and out of trouble 5 days a week 8.5 hrs a day. Then I communte 1 hr to my folks place in Arthur to work our beastlies and compete.
Ya gotta love maritime winters..I'm actually from NFLD so know all about them...weather here is great today although freezing...going to go to the barn to give my boy some lovin'...he blew out his check ligament at the last horse trials at Grandview in Oct and has been resting since...gonna give him another month and start rehab...them dang horses...Happy New Year to you!!
Francis is married and living out west (BC) on one of the islands...Scott is finishing college down in the states on a baseball scholarship....Alex is working in TO...Lexy's dad just died...we visited Rob and Lexy not long after they bought the farm in Alma...unfortunately they had a house fire and ended up living in a trailer for 9 months which was the precursor for the demise of their relationship...I saw Lexy ride in an Ian Millar clinic a couple of years ago...such a lovely rider...I guess she battles some bad arthritis...
Too much...I worked for John Burns for a few years and also worked the test barn at Mohawk and Greenwood...Lexie was married to my husband's good friend Rob Wells...do you know Louise Annette...she works for Keith Calhoun(I can never spell his name right!) Joe Currie is a very good friend of mine...you're right..standardbreds are tough...too bad they have to be....
Touch n go is close by to us...we school over there and have done some hunter shows....we are an Eventing barn and my friend who owns Foxcroft is a friend of Jane's. Are you guys maritimer's or have you moved to NS?

How's Nova Scotia? Missed catching up with you at Christmas at Jane's the last couple of years.
Glad to hear that Scout's still going strong. Kisses and carrots to him.
