Nicky Thompson is a blind Para Dressage rider competing at Grade III. This video is of the Individual Championship test riding Welt Santa Cruz at Hartpury International in July 2011.

This has been uploaded to demonstrate to other blind riders the method of calling to allow them to orientate when wearing blacked out glasses. Here Nicky is assisted by Gary Greenhill at X and Clive Milkins outside of the arena.

Nicky is supported by the BEF World Class Programme and represented Grade III at the Greenwich Test Event. With the right backing she hopes to represent Team GBR in London 2012 Paralympics and beyond.
