John Freeman said… - I meant to mention that I attend as many local dressage competitions as I can and love watching the kur, although the choice of music is sometimes regrettable. But I'm pretty conservative when it comes to music. Luckily for me, there's a very active chapter of the Canadian Dressage Riders and Owners Association Dressage in this area and most of the events are at farms that are only 15 minutes drive from my house.
It wasn't so long ago that all the horse activity here was western - barrel racing and the like. I try to go to those shows, too, because I really enjoy the atmosphere and like watching the events even though I have no interest in participating.
