finding this on your website came as a shock as its my groom doing the calm test that ended with the spectacular halt - she was placed in the class so this shows that even dressage judges do have a sense of humour.....

I don't compete; don't even own the outfit. I wish I could ride well enough to just do it (ride, not compete) but I am just as happy as can be to walk & trot in the direction I want and stop the horse when I want. Last week I took a hoof in the foot because I wanted to be close to Sweet Pea when was rolling turned out. Thank G-d for boots & dirt. Nothing bad happened. I wish he would lay down down do I could pet him laying down. This video is beautiful.

I use to have a mare who went down the same, every time I got on her. I was a small 9-year-old and didn't have the strength to keep her head up. But this pair as a lot more class then I had , though I can't remember ever being mad or scared, just frustrated.

What a great team. I used to have a pony that would do that when she had enough of a trail ride "I'm going no further!"

Classy rider to keep her cool and be able to laugh about that! Way to go.

There are horses that do not think the little fences are worth worrying about. Are you lungeing him over the jumps just in a cavesson, or are you using side reins too? Do you lunge over jumps with a saddle on? Do not use side reins (I am not saying…

Where did I state that medival dressage was humane and correct? I have stipulated that the SRS under Podhajsky presented dressage more correctly. I know who Kottas is and he is not a horseman! Podhajsky was a horseman and even General Patton was a h…

Hi Guys,One of the biggest mistakes riders make when we're trying to overcome horseback riding fears is that we direct our efforts toward the conscious mind. You know--willpower, iron-jawed determination. The problem with that strategy is that you c…
