Despite all the fancy obstacles, there's plenty we can all do with our equine with what we have. I'd like to see competitions begin at a lower level with walking only on the lead, to get everyone involved,  more along the lines of precision groundworik. Should it become popular in one's area then different divisions could be introduced. What a great way to get people who don't ride more involved with their equine. If one googles horse agility there are videos  of how it's done in the UK and the Canadian site provides a course one can build that's designed to teach patience and foot placement-a good start at minimal expense.

This is great! Maybe I can convince my mom to give it a go ... I can step over trotting poles quite handily on my own ... ;-)
