Carriage Horse Goes Down in NYC

Warning. This may be disturbing to some Barnmice viewers. According to on scene reports, the horse bucked and got his leg over the shaft. After 15 minutes they were able to get the horse up again.

I am opposed to the carriage horse industry as it currently runs in NY.

Last week a horse spooked and bolted into traffic and along the streets of Manhattan. Luckily no one was hurt before the horse was finally caught.

I have no problem with driving horses. I have no problem with working horses. I have a HUGE problem with horses shackled to carriages for hour upon hour and negotiating traffic in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world.

I am in NY all the time and I see for myself what is going on. No amount of PR on either side can override what I witness with my own eyes.
