Newly Born Fawn Thinks Horse is the Mother

From the video link:

"We went out to collect the horses one evening and found that "Spook" had a companion - a newborn fawn that thought that Spook was his mommy. He was still damp and wobbly-kneed, so he couldn't have been more than an hour or two old. Luckily, the real mother was nearby, and ran in as soon as we collected the horses and left the area."

Thanks for sharing! What a precious little baby :0) Spook was pretty well behaved - I'm not sure my gelding would have been so gentle.  Of course, I bet there are some mares out there that would have tried to figure out how to foster the little booger - LOL!

I'm going to add a link and mention this video on my site - http://affordahorse.blogspot.com/

What a sweet little thing. Poor fawn was probably wondering "How in the heck am I ever going to get a drink from WAY down here Mama?!" Glad to know the real mama was standing by ready to swoop in for her baby.
