Whoa.  I have personally talked with the folks face to face with the race horse unit and the dressage unit.

The dressage unit does walk trot canter.....its just that it is aimed for dressage riders.  I liked it.  The racing one I was not impressed with.  I sure would like to try the jumper.....

Actually Jackie the equisizer would be an tool that you could utilize as it is used for many disabilities.Husband had knee surgery in 2010 and was able to rehabilitate himself in record time (2 months) due to using one. Physiotheraphists are quite astonished at the range of motion one uses as it does a trot, canter gallop and a walk using your own body motion. It is now the prefered method of training jockeys. So many uses. I use one because I believe in being in the best physical shape I can be for my young horses. Training always go so much smoother and the horses much calmer when I use my core strenght to keep myself in balance with the horse. If I am working an athlete then it only makes sense to keep myself in shape like an athlete. My fitness level needs to be on par with their fitness level.Any way enough said.

I'm disabled.  From what I've seen on the simulators is that I would have to get two, three, four seperate simulators to keep up my riding when I could not get out. (Walk?. Trot. Canter. Jump. Dressage.)

If I had the simulators I could keep myself stronger, because it takes so much of my energy to groom, tack up, and walk to the ring.

However, since I am on disability I can't afford to buy one, the cheapest cost more that I get a month.

Luckily right now I don't NEED one, I often get to ride 3x/week (30 minutes each time, I can't do more).  However when my son finally leaves home I may only get to ride once a week (30 minutes).

Since I only have the energy to ride 30 minutes 3x a week it seems sort of expensive to me, but if I could afford one it would help I'm sure.

I'd rather be on a live horse.  They are full of surprises that don't come with simulators.  However so long you ride live horses as well as simulators it can be an answer for many people.

I still see it as an excuse not to do the real thing. SORRY.

I looked into the cost of purchasing one but the price was way out of my league. I did buy an equisizer though and am very happy with it. I notice that there are quite a few well known instructors and trainers that have purchased one as well. I am especially surprised at all the big name western trainers that purchased an equisizer for teaching western skills. Now that I have one I certainly can see why. My riding has in my mind always been good lol but now I can keep my condition at peak performance. Winter here in canada has always been a challenge but I can ride to DVD's when the weatheer is bad and still maintain my core strenght and balance. My roping skills have dramatically improved. I believe stongly in this new technology. The proof is in the pudding for me. I came through winter in beautiful shape with my muscle mass in great shape and nicely toned.I breed and own warmbloods so need every edge I can get with my advancing age. Michael I like the different variety of videos you find thumbs up from me.
