So hard to see a beautiful horse die.

I offer my thoughts and prayers to Eric on the loss of his dear friend.  May

you find comfort and honor in your memories of Hickstead.

I am so sorry to hear about Hickstead. He was an amazing Jumper and loved it. I can't believe it. My heart goes out to Eric and to his groom for their loss. What a great horse with a big heart. Gail Gayda

Thank you for everything, Hickstead. The world-wide outpouring of love for you is astounding. I hope knowing that people around the world cared so much will support your partner, Eric, and your family as they carry on without you.

You will forever live in our hearts and memories. Much love to you.

A tremendous loss for those closest to him, for those who admired him from afar and, perhaps, the greatest loss for those who never knew him.

Has cause of death been determined?

I live in Milan, Italy, and Sunday I was there at Verona World Cup.. My eyes can't see another thing........

I'm really still shocked.

Such a tremendous loss to the world of show jumping.  Hickstead was a champion in more ways than one and I truly doubt he will ever be forgotten.   He made our country proud and his memory will continue to live on through his foals.
