Gee, he was even wearing a helmet, good thing, but it may need more padding.

It also looks like they should look into safety stirrups for jousting.

Glad everyone seemed okay in the end if a little roughed up and I'm sure shook up!!!  been run over a time or two myself and it is a bad time everytime...

 

On another note, had to chuckle at the music that was chosen for this video... The Foggy Dew is an Irish battle song in the fight for Irish Independence... and Jousting is a predominatly English type of fighting??? lol  still a great score of music, and  very, very old and had deep meaning for us Irish...
