thanks Kat :-) I am very proud of him. He is our first morgan colt we bred on our farm. He is now 11 years old and is a great team sorting horse, trail horse and loves kids. The girl in the picture is the first child he has ever had on his back. She is a very confident and stable rider which makes a big difference. He stands 15.2 hh and is very powerful with lots of stamina. On the trail he will go forever and do whatever you ask. He can get "jiggy" when a stable isn't with him on the ride but other than that I love him.
Hi Kat,
I just finished my riding lesson with the school horse.she decided to lie down in the middle of me riding her..as I saw the ground getting closer,I just kind of rolled off of her,she ended up lying right down on her side. She got up in a flash mind you,and I got right back on...which is HUGE for me,as last year I had to work for 6 months on a fear issue..so
once I knew that Betty(school horse) was ok,and all the tack was correct,I am really proud that I got on again, and finished the lesson.
thats it for now.How is Chance doing?
hi ..yes,the Appendix has more quarter horse, and his name is "Nairobi"and if you met him,you would probably find that his name really suits his personality.very curious, lively, and playful.he was named
before he came to live with us,and his name had been changed before that..I just thought he deserved to keep his name.I am learning western,
pleasure, and my intention is to ride the trails here on our property.Nairobi is away now for 2 months being refreshed, with an awesome trainer who loves his personality.I also have a riding instructor
who does cutting and reining. Debs I have sooo much to learn !
Hi Kat,
you are welcome ! We have 3 horses now.One pony,Exmoor x,a
28 yr old Appy mare,a 5 yr old Appendix gelding. We lost a thouroughbred mare (24 yr old) one year ago.And we fostered a
30 yr old Belgian for 7 weeks. The sweetest horse !..but man,did he eat ! But he paid us with hugs ! Cheers,Debs
How fortunate your horses are to have found you ! Especially because you love to have fun with them and enjoy every moment with them. All of
our horses are from a rescue refuge...I still have a lot to learn as I only
started with horses a couple of years ago. Some scary moments...,but
the amount of what i am learning from them...is amazing ! Debs
Hi Kat, thx I love them both and of course think TB's are the most beautiful horses, so athletic and full of heart. I guess by default both my horses (who are cousins) are related to your horse Sky. (She's very pretty by the way!) My older boy goes back to Man O War and has Native Dancer. She is 1 yr younger than my old boy almost to the day. They do age gracefully! Cheers, Elaine
