Dear Friends,
I am so excited to be here on the Barn Mice community. It is amazing to me how far technology has come and how easy it is to connect with great, new people through networks like this one.
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Lynn Palm. I have been a trainer, clinician, instructor and showman for 40 years. My most famous equine partner was
Rugged Lark who twice won the Superhorse award at the American
Quarter Horse Association World Championships and became the only Superhorse who also sired Superhorse Champions, The Lark Ascending and Look Whos Larkin. In total, I have won 34 world and reserve championships, four Superhorse title wins and many other top honors such as being named 2007 AQHA Horsewoman of the Year.
I use proven dressage methods in my training. I don't believe in gimmicks and I can't promise a quick-fix, but by using my exercises, I can promise to give you the correct horsemanship techniques to handle any situation. At Palm Partnership Training, we emphasize correct balance for horse and rider, use of natural aids and collection. The goal for every rider should be to train healthy, happy, willing horses who can perform at home, out on the trail or in the show ring.
Currently, I am on a mission to promote dressage to the quarter horse community. Dressage is a French word which means training! It's great because it teaches your horse a successful training progression that takes his anatomy, instincts and behaviors into consideration. It is the perfect progression for anyone to learn to ride balanced and correctly. Dressage has helped my career immensely because it allowed my horses to be more balanced and be better movers and perform in all-around events. Next month, my husband, Cyril, and I will be heading out for our nation-wide
Ride Well Clinic tour where we will be helping people to achieve their goals using dressage exercises and techniques. Check out our website for dates and locations.
Here on Barn Mice, look for monthly training tips from me as well as updates on the Palm Partnership Training team and the Palm Partners Club. I am so excited to be connecting with all of you out there! Please feel free to leave a comment on topics you would like to see here.
Follow your dreams
~Lynn
