This kid will learn how to fall and it is a very valuable lesson to learn. Things need to be safe but kids shouldn't be warped in cotton wool or bubble wrap if they are going to learn to ride.Yes it would be wonderful if we all could have seeing eye horses and just sit and pretend to ride but this kid looks like he will be a good rider in the future. I think he or she should also have a easier ride but I don't find this dangerous.

I am impressed with this child's enthusiasim to ride and keep on trying but appauled that his parents would put him at such risk. This is terrible. I could hardly watch towards the end. He will get hurt. As for the pony it needs some to be ridden for a time by a more experience rider. It has learnt it can have its way and will only get more dangerous. Why not find this child a pony that is safe and he can have fun on as he is such a good little rider.

It was funny at first, but I agree it got a bit dangerous. This pony obviously has this child's number. This pony needs discipline.

I can't believe a parent would put their child at risk. It looks like this has been going on for many months because you can see the change of season in the video. who in their right mind would persist in letting their youngster ride that pony without finding out what is the cause of his (the pony's) actions. It is a great way to deflat a child's interest in riding.
How foolish!

Frankly, if I was that pony and got yanked on as many times as that poor thing, I'd behave the same exact way! I'm so sick of watching young and old alike use the barest of skill on the back of a living animal and expect the animal to tolerate it. Teach the child to ride and I'm betting (a lot) that the "poor" behavior dimishes or never materializes at all. I can't go to local shows simply because I can't stomach watching the lack of ability to actually RIDE! The parent who left the kid on this pony is ,well, "misguided" , it's dangerous for the child.

Yikes, who would video this, was it from more than one session?

I think this hole thing is dangerious. Some naugghty behavier is to be expected and can teach you alot about staying on and not to be scard to fall off but this is extream.

Well if this child ever masters this pony we might see him in the international show ring. This pony needs some re-schooling before he tosses this kid through the fence and down the mountain. Where is his mother or father during all this. To be honest however this child looks like he is having fun. This is just not just one session by the way, this is over several days of riding. So child being determined gets back on and tries again. Flack jacket and helmet a must! Gay Forstbauer

This is not cute. I'll stop my comments there....

That horse needs serious re-educating before someone gets badly hurt. Get the young bloke a descent horse to learn on. It almost appears as though the horse has been encouraged to behave badly by a previous, more experienced rider having fun. It's not much fun in a hospital bed.
