Does anyone know what meeting they are talking about?

REPORT BY THE SECOND FEI VICE PRESIDENT ON DRESSAGE

A detailed report on the findings of the FEI Second Vice President concerning a meeting held in Hong Kong was produced. The conclusion of the report is that the meetings had not affected the judging. The procedure will, however, be tightened so that this will not happen again. Dressage has had an excellent competition which was judged to the high standards expected at the Olympic Games.

Some riders complained about Riexinger's judging and that was addressed in one midnight meeting, to which only four country representatives were invited. The next day, another meeting took place with everyone. Riexinger received an anonimous threating phone call, but he just hung up..

The meeting, which had taken place at the ungodly hour of 1.30am, involved just about all the officials, but representatives arrived from only four countries, Germany, Holland, Denmark and the United States – who filled the top four places in the team championship. That would not do, so another meeting was called at a rather more respectable 10am with representatives of all the teams. That was all the statement, and Mr Hodson, told us. Not what the night-time gathering had been about – though I understand it was to do with marking.

...my goodness the press has really picked up on this
Thanks for the updates on the kur...anonymous phone calls - I guess this is why this news blurb appeared?
